Introducing the xES
The IMS xES (Engineering Seismograph) is a low power, portable, advanced seismic or vibration monitoring station designed to be rapidly deployed for temporary or permanent installations. Versatile sensor inputs enable monitoring of a wide selection of sensors including geophones, accelerometers, broadband seismometers, strong motion sensors and microphones.
Key Features
- Compact and portable:
- 96 watt-hour internal lithium-ion battery
- Integrated solar charge controller – simply connect a 40W solar panel or DC power source (no external controller required)
- GPS timing:
- High-accuracy GPS-disciplined clock
- Flexible communication options:
- Ethernet
- On-board WiFi / Bluetooth
- USB
- Rugged:
- IP67 ingress protection
- Industrial connectors
Integrated data storage, battery, USB port, GPS receiver as well as Wi-Fi and Ethernet communication interfaces enable the xES to operate autonomously in standalone mode or online as part of a realtime network of interconnected stations. With optional internal battery and solar regulator, the xES can be deployed with a minimum of external components. The xES is highly configurable with a choice of auxiliary sensor interface, power input and time synchronisation options. Choose between two main variants depending on your requirements.
