In addition to seismic, a number of non-seismic geotechnical sensors can be monitored. Alarm, control and/or sgm functions are available whenever signal(s) or certain parameters exceed preset levels. The system is modular, allowing for easy expansion. It can vary from a single stand-alone data acquisition unit with dial-up facility, to a sophisticated network connecting a number of stations via cable, optical fibre or radio (or a combination of these).
