Training
Customised technical training programmes can be compiled to suit the needs of the customer.
These programmes aim to aid with fault identification and the up-keep of the IMS seismic system and components. Typically, technical training encompasses system hardware components and IMS software packages used for system monitoring and control. An initial assessment (questionnaires and practical evaluation) is conducted to determine the specific focus areas and level of detail required in training. This training is based on established practices that have proven successful over years of experience in the field.
Training is offered to smaller groups of up to four candidates at IMS’s facilities in South Africa, Australia or Canada, or at customer sites for larger groups. Candidates have the option to be certified after successfully completing practical tests.
Short courses focussing on specific aspects of the IMS seismic system are also available. An example of this might be control room operators requiring on-site training on the use of Ticker3D.
